Artist Levine Flexhaug painted thousands of the same image while working on the Canadian prairies from the 1930’s through the 1960’s. His work comes out of a tradition of landscape paintings meant for the living room of every average citizen. But more recently his work has become sought after by artists and curators, culminating in a touring exhibition featuring over 450 individual works. The film follows two lines of investigation: a group of collectors and their enthusiastic appreciation of the paintings; and stories of Flexie making paintings at the Wheel Inn along the Trans-Canada highway in Saskatchewan.
